Providing workers essential homecare services to vulnerable people throughout counties Louth and Meath say they are short hundreds of euros per month following a contract change by their employer, Danu Home Care.
Danu Home Care traded as Ann’s Home Care Ireland until recently and retains the same corporate structure.
A spokesperson for the workers said they had been on seven 12-hour shifts every night and were moved to 30 hour per week contracts.

Mumbai: Health insurance penetration in India has been growing at a sluggish pace despite the high growth of 22% in premium numbers. Workers and their employers are paying a lot more for job-based health insurance this year.
The annual cost of family health insurance coverage at work soared to an average of nearly $24,000 this year, according to KFF’s Employer Health Benefits Survey, released Wednesday. That’s up 7% from last year.
Employees are shelling out an average of $6,575 for their share of the premium, up almost $500, or close to 8%, from last year, the annual survey found. Their companies are footing the rest of the bill.
